QUITO ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE 2022
The Biennial Competition is an open call for projects and publications produced in the four years prior to each edition of the Pan-American Architecture Biennial of Quito (BAQ). BAQ2022 aims to promote the comparison and analysis of architectural and urban production, as well as the debate on methodological processes and contemporary critical thinking, based on the theme: "inflections, seeing again".
Enrolled in the category "Pan-American Prize - Public and/or collective spaces", the Congonhas Footbridge and Square project takes the restoration of the work of a great Brazilian architect, Vilanova Artigas, to the international level. Promoted by civil society forces, it requalifies an important route for residents of São Paulo and visitors, and gives new meaning to staying in a space with a strong historical and symbolic character for the city.
