ARAPUCA ARMCHAIR

The Arapuca armchair is an experimental piece created from waste from the urban furniture and parklet industry.

This project was part of the collective of architects and designers called #Não Tema, which held an exhibition with all the pieces as part of the official Design Weekend SP Program in 2014.

The piece was part of the exhibition and was on display during the event at the Superlimão Studio headquarters.

The carpentry workshop, where these pieces were produced, was coordinated by designer Sérgio Cabral, founder of Superlimão.

During the research process, the H2C Arquitetura team collected wooden waste, in the shape of slats and similar dimensions, and from this collection began to design the piece.

Through the organization of these slats, the design emerged that resembled an arapuca, a trap of indigenous origin used for hunting birds, hence its name.
